Vera Estevez was born in Portugal in 1986. She began her musical studies at the age of ten, with private lessons under the guidance of Professor Lidia Lantos. In 2014 she finished the Master in piano performance in the Maastricht Conservatorium (Zuyd University), with the Professor Katia Veekmans. She graduated in Music – Piano in Porto college of Music and Performing Arts – ESMAE, with Professor Constantin Sandu and in Musicology at FCSH in the Lisbon´s New University. Before, she studied at the National Conservatory of Lisbon in the piano class of Prof. Joaquim Baptista Fernandes.

Vera was Finalist in the “1st International Competition of Chamber Music” in Alcobaça (Portugal) with Trio Diclave. She participated in piano and chamber music master classes given by Vitaly Margulis, Stanislav Pochekin, Fernando Puchol, François Antonioli, Luiz de Moura Castro, Akiko Ebi, Valentina Berman, Julijus Andrejevas and  Devy Erlih, among others.

Vera has an active performance schedule both in solo and in chamber music recitals, having given concerts in halls in Portugal, Spain, The Netherlands and Ethiopia. She has also participated in various national and international courses and festivals like the “X Óbidos International Piano Week” (SIPO) in Portugal; the “Alcobendas´s International Music Meetings” in Spain; V Festival of Classical Music of Addis Ababa, among others. She was also invited to perform in the comorative concert “500 years of diplomatic relations between Portugal and Ethiopia”.
